Our latest bandana design is once again featuring the beautiful illustration of Ursa Eyer. This year, we wanted our theme to express the diverse and ever evolving city of New Orleans (celebrating its 300th anniversary in 2018).
We chose the Sagittaria plant, a native to Louisiana swamps, to help embody this theme. Each corner of the bandana features a different form that the Sagittaria takes - male flowers, female flowers, seed pods, and edible root tubers. The surrounding arrowhead shaped leaves gives off a feeling of celebration that is a constant in our city's daily flow of life.
The new Gold, Blush and Tan color ways were hand dyed with natural elements by our sewer and local textile artist Abby Wetsman.
